Cosmology, Large Scale Structure and First Objects
Cosmology, Large Scale Structure and First Objects – This USP Conference shall cover the key issues of Cosmology, from particle physics, fundamental gravitation, cosmic background radiation, dark matter and dark energy, large-scale structure, simulations of the formation of structure in the Universe, as well as comparisons to observations.
Since 2011 the University of São Paulo, through the Office of the Dean of Research (Pró-Reitoria de Pesquisa), has been supporting high-profile international conferences in key areas of research – the USP Conferences. These conferences serve the purpose of bringing together world-renowned specialists that can present and discuss the state-of-the art of research in their areas. Previous USP Conferences included “Frontiers of Earth Sciences”, “USP Conference on the Sea”, “Nanotechnology”, “USP Conference on Neuroscience”, among others. This USP Conference comes at a time of increasing visibility, as well as exciting new developments, in Astrophysics and Cosmology. The University of São Paulo recognizes the relevance of research in this area, and would like to invite anyone who is interested to come and participate in this stimulating event!
The conference will also explore the frontier of our knowledge about the First Objects, the farthest observable stars and galaxies detectable from radio through optical up to the ultra high energy gamma-ray bursts.
